DanceLife Studios fabulous Teachers & Staff!

Letitia Williams – Director of School / Glee

Musical theatre has been a huge part of my life from a very young age. I have been involved in over 20 shows and am thrilled to be taking over as Director of School for DanceLife Studios, as well as teaching Glee!

Being cast in my first show ‘Annie’ at age 8, I found my love for Musical Theatre and haven’t been off the stage since. I have danced since age six and sung for over fourteen years. In 2013 I joined the Napier Operatic Society where I played Tammy in ‘Hairspray’, as well as understudying for the lead role ‘Tracy.’ I have also performed in ‘Phantom of the Opera,’ ‘Mamma Mia,’ and played a lead role, ‘Flora’ in my first professional opera ‘La Traviata.’ My most recent onstage role was ‘Eva Peron’ in NOS’ 2015 production of ‘EVITA.’

My passion is not only to perform but to teach. I have taught school choirs and now teach singing privately. A highlight for me as a teacher is seeing how my students develop and grow and nothing excites me more than seeing them achieving their dreams. I am so excited to be leading such a phenomenal team, and feel so privileged to be able to help develop and grow the talents of Hawkes Bay’s emerging new performers!

I have been dancing for nearly 20 years in various styles, ever since I was a toddler. During high school I took 5 years of jazz and hip hop and thoroughly enjoyed both. I also have a lifelong passion for musical theatre, having been both onstage and backstage for many Napier Operatic Society productions.

I have choreographed for 4 NOS Theatre School productions including co-choreographing last years production of the Wizard of Oz with my best friend. I am really looking forward to the new challenge of teaching Hip Hop and can’t wait to meet all of the students

Anne Penitito – Glee/ Preschool Hip Hop

My name is Anne I am super excited to be part of this team!
I have a background in Tap & Jazz since age four & later started hip-hop. My love for theatre started as a baby being carried around the Tabard, my first show was a music hall at age 7 and I haven’t stopped since. I have 3 children, who are starting to get into performing now, which is of course exciting for me!! My Husband also performs.
I cannot wait to share what I love doing with all of you.
